Building Energy 2007:
Building for a Changing Climate
A record-breaking success!
March 13-15, 2007
Once again, we broke all records for attendance, media stories and trade show vendors. Thank you to all who attended and supported this event.
- Massachusetts Environment Secretary Ian Bowles offered welcoming remarks with updates on Governor Patrick's commitment to a sustainable Commonwealth. Keynote Ed Mazria's opening plenary remarks were well received by a standing room only crowd of over 1,000.
- Our free public forum, "Wind Power in the Wild," was held with a capacity crowd of over 400. It was expertly moderated by Jim Braude (NECN and Eagan & Braude FM) with four New England panelists, all passionate about their stances: Bill McKibben, Steven Terry, Michael Kellett and Eleanor Tillinghast.
- NESEA Night was filled with fun, hilarity and nearly 100 green, recycled, organic auction items.
- Workshops and sessions were packed. With over 190 speakers, there was much to learn.
- Six separate documentary film makers joined us and other media impressions are still coming in.
Thank you to our registrants for joining us, to our fantastic speakers for sharing crucial information, to our 164 exhibitors for bringing green products and services, and to our terrific volunteers for helping us organize our most successful conference to date. NESEA is fortunate to benefit from so much good energy from those who care deeply about making a difference as we move forward...together! Save the date for March 11 - 13, 2008 for BuildingEnergy08!
